I have it solved
Ok NOT exactly but close enough I could start searching this weekend. But I feel confident enough to go public and eliminate some states, now so people realize when it is found (even if it isn't me) that I had it solved. Now if I am eliminating a state that it is in, well then Justin will just laugh, always nice to put a smile on someones face.
I am NOT looking in Montana, Idaho or Washington. You can...if you think it is there. I mean, he did love going to Montana and it is close to the Fenn hiding spot. He loves Fly fishing and Montana is great for that too. So it is Montana right?
Like I said I cant tell you where my solve is, I haven't even went boots on the ground (I work 6 days a week at my job), but my solve eliminates those States and well all of them but the one I may go searching this weekend. So if a state touches Canada then it is the wrong state. I'm not saying, just saying....
Go get it. Please don’t think Alaska. Some places are truly unforgiving if you don’t know you territory.
Anyone putting odds on this?
Long odds for sure. I mean lots of people had Wyoming (like myself). Knew it was close to Yellowstone (like myself) but still had to wrong solve (like myself lol). Not to mention how many thought it was 9 Mile Hole and still didn't find it. So odds of me finding it, even if my solve and State are correct are very long. But again it is the fun of channeling your inner Sherlock Holmes and going outdoors on an adventure.
In the end, anyone that enjoys the puzzle and the adventures it brings to themselves and others, is living life, not just sleep walking thru it.
Not me...I am #TeamMontana
To many truths and facts were found to deny their accuracy.
And.....Imo - Forrest had reasons.
If one can understand that....then one will be closer to the solution.
*shrugs*
You could be right Zoso. If Chaselandia doesn't bet on my solve either lol, I don't blame them one bit. As confident as I am - I could be wrong. Got a day off from work, going to met my buddy for lunch, who told me about the Fenn hunt a decade ago or more. I bought the Thrill of the Chase and let him borrow it. Now I am giving him my solve. He is more open but agreed that the area I have in my solve could be one of the most likely. But like you guys, he also sees Montana and really he isn't ready to stick with one state. Lets see after he sees my pictures I have to show him that he isn't #TeamErick.
Hey and my post got some more people talking, lets get this forum a Hint of Riches cooking. Loved Justin on the Cowlazars, man some great insight. Great interview by them and some awesome questions and comments by Kpro.
Hi Im new. Just recently started. Anyone have thoughts on Utah?
It is not one of the states to search.
Utah is on the map, isn't it?
I met with my buddy told him my solve and though still not 100% he got very excited and was almost as amped as me. I wanted to email Justin to tell him my solve but he doesn't have an email on his site and I dont want to trust filling out the form in case he has someone screening his site to help him deal with the volume.
My solve has me down to two main highways but an area the size of the Pocono Mountains. I two have two specific spots, both the size of a typical neighborhood. I may go in the next few weeks and take some pictures without trying to give away my exact area of interest of course.
Are people giving out theories?
Don't have the book but i think it’s paying homage to tucker. Having a few theories but currently am thinking Rainbow bridge in Utah. Theres quite a few aligning landmarks, history, water, night sky views etc. If I could afford it, worth a deeper dive.
I was in the Montana boat for a bit there, but I have to admit that I am more interested in Washington State recently. Still not confident enough to go BOTG, especially since I'd be coming all the way from Missouri. Wherever you end up searching, just have fun and be careful!
