@mountain-digger That's what I ask myself every time I think I found something, that looks like a possibility. The problem is that it would take a magician to make it fit the poem.

Don't complicate things.  You said Justin's poem only has 5 stanzas, but f's has 6.  The last 2 begin with "So".  So ...

I've not paid any attention to JP's poem but f knew me as md

@mountain-digger Forrest's poem made more sense, it contained more information. I think the chest was found in the last stanza. HOB, The giant kettles/caldrons for making brown gravy, brown was mentioned twice. The air force had a group that used a black dragon's head as there insignia. On the Yellowstone at the caldrons, there's black dragon caldron. So the caldrons were my WWWH and HOB for the brown gravy

Can you find what lives in time. I would say "the past", how it fits I don't know but I think it is key.

I found a spot on the Big Hole river, that's a good match to the poem. Maddox Hole, here the Big Hole has slowed to a winding meander. Round the bend past the Hole, and there's a fishing accesses point.

I shot the 20 degree line from Maddox Hole, and bulls eyed the same place, again. From two different points. And the word that I thought only appeared once in the book, appears twice. I wouldn't bet anything on this, but it is curious.

Wisdom waits in shadowed sight. The town of Wisdom would be in shadow until the sun rose high enough to cast it's light over the mountain. Kind of reminds me of the staff of Rah . Justin mentioned his wizards staff, in the book.

Here foot of three at 20 degree. I wonder if it's sun dial? three feet long and angled at 20 degrees.

I tried to calculate when the sun would shine directly on Wisdom, and got about 11:55 AM. I wouldn't trust my math though.

I did the math again, and the sun would be approximately 1.7 degrees above the horizon to shine over Tweedy peak.

I don't know if it's anything, but I just stumbled on Nine Mile, Montana.

There's Nine Mile, and there's Nine-mile, Montana. Two different places.
